COMPANY HISTORY - ITP SA Human Resources Holdings (Pty) Ltd
In 1983, Ms Maxie Blignaut, a human resources officer at Denel answered a call of entrepreneurship and left to start her own recruitment company - Maxie Personnel. From the first modest office in Wierda Park, the business expanded and moved to larger premises (Sunnyside, Pretoria) and developed a niche market, specializing in Permanent Technical Placements.
It was this specialization that prompted the name change to Technical Placements Mr. TJC Blignaut (Johan) bought the company and with further company developments in 1996, changed the name to International Technical Placements cc (1996/016061/23). At the time the turnover was less than R300 000 per annum and still operated from the premises in Sunnyside, Pretoria.
The following year a client expressed the requirement for contract workers and the company responded. The first contract worker was a Fitter & Turner and initiated the major expansion that was to follow. Mrs. JCK Blignaut (Poy) (currently director and shareholder) joined the company to manage all the financial aspects of the fast growing concern. It was this initial response to a client's needs that the company still adheres to- and as a result our success is measured by the response to our client's demands.
A second office was opened in Kempton Park as a response to the needs of the Aviation industry. Further offices have been opened in Krugersdorp (Mining), Port Elizabeth (Manufacturing), Cape Town, Durban and East London. We also have a satellite office in Pretoria City Centre (on-site-offices).
It also became necessary to change the company operational structure and the cc was changed into a private company - ITP SA HUMAN RESOURCES HOLDINGS (Pty) Ltd (2002/000745/07). In January 2002, Mr. NJ Mkhabela (Johnny), previously Executive Accounts Manager of Dimension Data, Director at Aventura Resorts and National Bolts (Pty) Ltd, was appointed Director to assist with the operations and vast number of strategic and logistical aspects of the new and innovative directions the company was taking.
ITP is unique in the sense that the company is a one-stop shop in Human Resources. ITP has proven this by taking over client's entire workforce complement and managing the human resource management function as an outsource project. This would include all aspects of recruitment, potential testing, training (multi-skilling), payroll administration, career path planning and employment equity, etc. The company still does permanent placements but now also offers the following services: contract workers, temporary assignees, outsourcing, employee benefits, industrial relations and all other related human resources functions.
Recently after successful negotiations, the company incorporated Tshwane Services into ITP SA Human Resources Holdings. Mr. NJ Mkhabela acquired 100% shareholding in Walcher Enterprises trading as TSHWANE SERVICES, during 2003, making the company a full-fledged division of ITP SA HUMAN RESOURCES HOLDINGS. Tshwane Services, whose main client is the South African Post Office with specialization in providing casual labour to Tshwane Mail Centre, serves to further enhance ITP's ability to respond to and service client's needs.
During April 2003, Mr. NJ Mkhabela acquired 51% shareholding in the holding company: ITP SA HUMAN RESOURCES HOLDINGS (PTY) LTD (2002/000745/07) with Mrs. JCK Blignaut holding the remaining 49% of the shares.
With ITP being recognized as a black owned company, it became necessary to expand our footprint into other provinces to fulfill contractual obligations e.g. opening our branch in Thabazimbi focusing in the mining industry. Recently, our contracts necessitated the opening of yet another branch in the mining industry, based in Rustenburg.
In the latter part of 2004, ITP ventured into the response handling field and has since then incorporated this as a full fledged division of ITP. The company's registration as an advertising agency with the MCC (Media Credit Coordinator), together with a number of successful projects completed over the past 3 years, has established this division as one of the pillars of the company, taking ITP into the future.
The year 2007, saw the birth of our branch in George, servicing the surrounding areas, focusing on the hospitality industry.
