BEE (set-up projects)

ITP identified the following persons with special skills who wanted to set-up their own companies but lacked in start-up capital and knowledge of setting up registered company compliance with proper governance and as tax payers.

Joseph Mahlangu

Joseph Mahlangu is skilled as a builder, roof constructor and carpenter. ITP assisted him in registering his company, TJ Construction, preparing all documentation to market himself including his business cards, telephone banking and banking in general.

He has completed a big project for ITP and has since then embarked on more building projects and employing 8 assistants.

Isaac Masango

Isaac Masango learned his craft as a kitchen units / office-unit builder at Semble It, but was unfortunately retrenched when there was a slow-down in the industry.

He came to one of the Directors' notice and was offered work as a contractor by the Director to build and install new kitchen units at his home. The Director was so impressed, that Isaac was offered a project to build office desks, units and new kitchen units for ITP's new Head Office and subsidiary offices.

Isaac was also assisted to register his company which is known as Isaac Enterprise. Isaac employs 3 full time employees now and has other projects within ITP which will keep his company engaged until December 2007.

Freddie Nchabeleng (Plumber)

ITP is currently assessing Freddie's work in plumbing in order for us to assist him as we did for Isaac Masango and Joseph Mahlangu, i.e. to get him off the ground.

Wilhelminah Selahle

Wilhelminah was a domestic worker at one of ITP's Directors. The Director's family soon realized her passion for dressmaking, tailoring, curtaining etc and brought it to the notice of our Equity and Social Responsibility Committee who proposed that ITP assist her in setting up a pilot dress making project at her home in Hammanskraal.

ITP's maintenance crew is putting finishing touches to her workshop attached to her house at ITP's cost.

Wilhelminah's goal is to manufacture
- school uniforms
- track suits
- protective clothing etc

Note: ITP will support her by purchasing the protective clothing and other ITP corporate clothing such as T-shirts etc.

ITP has planned to help Wilhelminah launch her business by 30th November 2007.
